one of its kind -Vedic Learning Centre and Library
in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand
· Initiative undertaken to provide an opportunity to learn VEDAS FREE OF COST based on the teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba
Rishikesh/Dehradun/Hyderabad, 11 th September 2016 – On the 3rd Day of the event, The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations India (SSSSO India) – a multi cultural international spiritual service organisation from Prasanthi Nilayam, Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh today launched Sri Sathya Sai Vedic Learning Centre and Library, a one of its kind in the region in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand.
The library is housed in an area of 2500 sq ft and will be open for one and all. It can be accessed by residents, tourists or students as per their own requirements. The organization had undertaken this initiative in order to provide knowledge free of cost to people regarding the ancient vedic learning. The one of its kind Sri Sathya Sai Vedic center & library is equipped with more than 2000 books and reference materials across several fields based on the principles and teachings of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Sathya Sai Seva Organization will be adding more books and reference material regularly based on the demand.
The third and final day of the event also witnessed the soulful Sarva Dharma Bhajans and Veda Chanting by Sri Vedanarayan. The event commenced with a vote of thanks from the Sathya Sai Seva Organization followed by the Sri Sathya Sai Aarthi. Around 4,000 – 5,000 people had participated in the 3 day event who had come from various parts of the country.
Commenting on the Vedic Centre, Sri Nimish Pandya , All India President, SSSSO India said “ By setting up free Veda Learning Centre we want to encourage people to read more about our ancient culture and Vedic learning, which will in turn help them in implementing the knowledge in their day-to-day life. And also these books are not available easily in the market and so the learning centre will be very beneficial for the people.”
