Drama by Students of SSS Higher Secondary School, Prasanthi Nilayam
After the D-day's grandeur of sporting extravaganza at the Sri Sathya Sai Hill View Stadium yesterday, as the cultural sessions continued, students from Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School, Prasanthi Nilayam presented a drama entitled 'Through The Eyes Of God' at the Sanctum Sanctorum in Prasanthi Nilayam. Depicting the life of conflicts in a village featuring a dedicated, devout Sarpanch, who is known for all good things, the presentation, as the title suggests, brings in the best of the lesson seeing things through the Eyes Of God. Under the severity of a demanding circumstance, wherein a neighbouring village turned into ashes, the Sarpanch, listening to his conscience gave away the collective fund meant for a temple construction to meet with the emergency and thus the moral storyline. Finally when the matter of controversy was referred to the King's Court, the Sarpanch was, as per the rule, handed over with the worst of the punishments, to be banned by all in the Kingdom. The bemoaning Sarpanch, while accepting the verdict and facing the trial whole-heartedly, went on seeking God's Answer for his plight. In the meanwhile, a holy man, Brahmananda Maharshi, who was dear to the villagers and the entire Kingdom, on his return from holy Kailash paid a visit to the Kingdom only to open the eyes of the 'foolish' King, whose unwise decision punishing the Sarpanchwas proved wrong. The Maharishi returned the money to the King that was made over to him by Jaidev in safe custody, just before breathing his last. ...And Purushotham, the role-model Sarpanch was accorded a royal welcome, restoring his dignity back, proving The Hand Of God That Rests With The Faithful. In the climactic end, it was proved that God HimSelf paid the visit to the palace in the guise of the Maharishi, arguing the Sarpanch's case, bailing him out of trouble once for all.
