Celebrating the 72nd National Independence Day of Mother India, postgraduate students of Sathya Sai University presented a patriotic drama entitled "Thiranga - A Song Of Unsung Heroes" this evening here, in Prasanthi Nilayam. For every story of our freedom struggle there are hundred more to be heard, says the presentation taking the audience back in time, singing some of the most sterling stories of Indian Independent struggle portraying the selfless, sterling story of a family, which remained ever unsung in the history of Indian Independent history. Weaving the story for the evening the students portrayed the patriotic life of Dharamveer along with his two children who fought bravely against the odds, supporting the cause of Indian Independent struggle. The story of their bravery ends in immortality, where the two brothers, Virender and Prithviraj became victims of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, only to enter the book of immortality, fighting for the Motherland with their heart in and hearts out. The evening presentation was dedicated to all such unsung heroes, whose bravery, stories are missing from the pages of Indian Independent history. The whole congregation rose to their feet then for the National Anthem. A final group song on Indian patriotic fervour marked the end of the evening presentation.
