Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital turns 63 this year. Commemorating the occasion, the staffers from the Temple Of Healing presented an evening of musical adoration at the Sanctum Sanctorum this evening here, in Prasanthi Nilayam.

The session commenced with a brief address by Dr. Vinod Kumar Varma, Superintendent at Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital.Recounting Bhagawan's bountiful love that resulted in the inception of the hospital, Dr Varma in his address briefly explained some of the statistical highlights before  concluding with a prayer seeking His continual blessings. He treats, He heals, concluded Dr. Varma, referring to Bhagawan's Healing Hands.

A musical offering, 'SAI - Service, Adoration, Illumination' followed next. Setting the tone with an invocatory number in RagaHamsadhwani'Saieeshwara Nee Padhamula Sannidhini...' the number that followed was 'Vaidhyanathashtakam' set in RagaKanada. The session flowed on with a piece extolling the protector of the universe, singing 'Aadimoolame Maaku Antharaksha...' in Raga Anandabhairavi, Adi Shankara's Nirvanashatakam'Mano Budhyahankara...' in Raga Yaman Kalyani, concluding with 'Achutam Kesavam Krishna Damodaram...',

The session interspersed with beautiful narrations was in line with the title 'S-A-I, Service, Adoration, Illumination' explaining the purport behind with beautiful anecdotes of the three paths, Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Jnana Yoga. A unique offering by the medicos and paramedics, who are His chosen instruments in His Medicare Mission, determined to serve the humanity with His Love...Love...Love...Prema Yoga!!!

Bhagawan's Divine discourse followed next, played on the public address system. The discourse dated 7th Feb 1993 turned out to be an enlightening one with Bhagawan divulging into the mysteries of human life, the spiritual aspect leading to constant integrated awareness, leading to Atma Jnana Hailing doctors as the very form of Narayana, Bhagawan exhorted them to see that no one should be allowed to shed a drop of tear. Do it to the extent possible, forgetting the result, concluded Bhagawan.

The programme sequence continued with the visiting Parthi Yatra contingent from Tirupur district of Tamil Nadu then presenting a Musical Dance Drama on the theme Sri Andal Vaibhavam. Sri Andal is one of the 12 Alvars,  the one and only female Alvar, whose devotion is affiliated to Lord Vishnu. Periyalvar, Vishnuchitta, one of the 12 Alvars had found 'this little girl' in a mysterious circumstances near the Tulasi plant outside his residence at Srivilliputhur and there begins the 'Love Story' of Andal with Lord Vishnu. She was fondled, cared and taken care of by the Periyalvar as his little darling, who considered her as a boon from Mother Earth. She was fondly called Kothai. The session that ensued in the beautiful Prasanthi twilight unravelled the inciting story of Andal's glowing and growing devotion to Lord Vishnu, leading unto Her final merger, 'Oneness' with Him.

The little girl in his devotional ecstasy would often lose herself that she would wear the garland meant for Lord Vishnu, enjoying the oneness, until that day when she was caught red-handed by her curious father. The incident turned out to be an enlightening experience for a heavy-hearted father, to whom Lord Vishnu HimSelf acknowledged that He would like to wear the garland already worn by Kothai, as He loved the smell of her devotion. As Kothai grew into a beautiful maiden, father's attempts to find a suitable bridegroom turned futile, as Kothai was adamant and determined to marry Him, only Him, her chosen Lord Vishnu HimSelf. As days passed by, one day Periyalvar had a strange dream in which Lord Vishnu asked him to bring a 'decked-up-bride' Andal to Srirangam, as she was born to marry Him. Rest is history as Andal exchanged the garland with Sri Ranganatha to become His eternal consort.

Andal's is the story of Madhura Bhakti, who, with her single-pointed devotion could win the heart of her Lord. Andal Vaibhavam by the Tirupur Balvikas children turned out be heartening, a salient reminder to one and all to make Him our heart's one and only content.

Earlier in the morning, Sri Shivasubramanian, District President of SSSSO - Tirupur addressed the assembly thanking Bhagawan profusely for His all out blessings. He also recollected some of the momentous moments of His visit to Tamil Nadu, especially in the vicinity of Tirupur District.

Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
