Christmas comes with a salient reminder of joy supreme, reminds one of the joy, greater joy of Oneness with Supreme Godhood. Recapitulating the epochal event dates back to over 2000 years, Prasanthi Nilayam celebrated the holy morning with pomp and devotional fervour, attended by a vast confluence of devotees.
Making merry of the occasion, hundreds of choristers from Australia began the holy morning serenading the Lord with a special day-break mass of Christmas carols. The session that ensued next at 0820 hrs was packed with a range of offerings by the students from Prasanthi Nilayam. Violin Bands from the Primary and Higher Secondary Schools commenced the proceedings in succession, playing slow soothing Christmas numbers infusing the solemn nostalgic touch. Live and exuberant Institute Brass Band played an assortment of special Christmas numbers next, thematic of the joyous occasion.
Serenading the Mighty Heavenly Father and His Heavenly Son, singing paeans, the Institute Music Band, then presented a ‘song-full n' soulful’ session depicting the illustrious saga of Jesus through hymns, interlaced with commentary. It was the usual 'grandpa - grandson' conversation leading through to the illustrious, celebrated saga of Jesus, The Christ.
Prasanthi made merry of the occasion in true spirit, following Bhagawan's dictum - Unity In Diversity, as a vast confluence of devotees of different nationalities joined the band of festive celebrations singing 'hallelujah...hallelujah', welcoming Baby Jesus. The theme of this year's celebrations, 'God Is Love, God Is Light...Live In Love, Live In Light', was very much in the air, with every speck of Prasanthi joining the Prasanthi-Christmas-Bandwagon.
Bhajans followed and the session ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
