Press Release by Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust

December 30, 2011

Parthi Yatra and Programme by Haryana Sathya Sai School at Prasanthi Nilayam:

This evening, at Prasanthi Nilayam, there was a Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini affiliated programme, "Sarvadharam Swaroopa Sai", a drama by Sri Sathya Sai Jagriti Vidya Mandir, Darwa, Yamuna Nagar, Haryana. The presentation was based on an insightful letter written by Sri Sathya Sai Baba addressing Bal Vikas Gurus on the role of teachers, dated this day 30 years ago, on 30th December 1981. The dram showcased how role model teachers could influence society following Sai ideals. It depicted a Bal Vikas Teacher’s simple and pure act of ‘Liquid Love’, blood donation, that helps to bring positive changes in a village that was marred by fanatic dispute over a petty issue.

Before the commencement of the programme, Sri Amar Vivek, an alumnus of the 1990 batch of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, narrated how he was was blessed by Baba in 1990 to take up multi-dimensional rural empowerment programmes. Sri Sathya Sai Jagriti Vidya Mandir was one of the three projects that set was in motion in 1993. Ninety children from the school are currently in Prasanthi Nilayam on a Parthi Yatra.
